When you support Tri-Valley REACH, you help keep that promise alive for current residents and the people waiting for a chance to move in. You are helping to keep a roof over their heads, keep the lights on in their homes, and ensure that needed repairs, household maintenance, and ADA requirements are met.

Impact in Everyday Life
REACH seeks to sustain it's mission and grow in the following three areas:
HOUSING
Long term upkeep of existing properties, which includes things like roof repairs, accessibility upgrades, and basic maintenance that keeps homes safe and comfortable.
ENRICHMENT
Programs that extend beyond housing, including scholarships for T-RADD athletes, social gatherings, skill building workshops, and other chances for residents to connect with their community.
EXPANSION
Funds are set aside so REACH can move quickly when a new property becomes available, or adding capacity to existing homes.
Additional Ways to Give
REACH offers several ways to give and help advance our mission. Recurring gifts provide dependable support for ongoing needs such as utilities, maintenance, and rent gap coverage, while one-time contributions can help make property purchases, major repairs, and other important housing projects possible.
We welcome individuals, companies, non-profit groups or government organizations interested in sponsoring an event, offering professional services, or collaborating on grants tied to affordable housing or support of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Every contribution, whether financial or in kind, helps keep homes open, rents low, and opportunities available for adults with I/DD who are ready for more independence.
Legacy Giving & Estate Planning
Give the gift of a lasting legacy by naming Tri-Valley REACH as a beneficiary of your trust, life insurance or retirement accounts.
Charitable Giving Accounts & DAFs
You can support Tri-Valley REACH through your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF). This is a simple option for donors who already give through a charitable fund and want to recommend a grant that helps expand very affordable housing and community support for adults with I/DD.
If you already have a DAF, you can recommend a grant to Tri-Valley REACH through your fund provider. Many donors use this option because it gives them flexibility in how and when they make charitable gifts.
Workplace Giving
Multiply your gift through your employer! Many corporations have matching gift programs. If Tri-Valley REACH is not on your company's specific giving platform, please contact us to initiate at [email protected].
IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions
If you are eligible to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), you may be able to make a gift directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to Tri-Valley REACH.
A QCD is a distribution made directly from an IRA to an eligible charitable organization. Generally, individuals age 70½ or older may be eligible, and a QCD can count toward all or part of an individual’s required minimum distribution.
If you are considering a QCD, please consult your financial advisor or IRA administrator to determine whether this giving option is appropriate for your circumstances and to ensure the gift is processed correctly.

What does Tri-Valley REACH raise money for?
REACH raises funds for three main needs –
(1) Sustaining and updating current properties, including retrofitting to meet ADA requirements,
(2) Expanding enrichment and educational programs and services for the I/DD community in our region, and
(3) Building healthy reserves for future housing opportunities in the Tri-Valley to house the more than 3,700 people with I/DD who may be eligible to live in a REACH home.
Why are partnerships important to REACH?
REACH homes are acquired and built through collaboration with donors, volunteers, local government officials, civic leaders, and community partners. Our housing model offers truly affordable rents for our residents so they can live independently and enjoy the quality of life the Tri-Valley region offers.
Why does REACH focus so much on housing?
Having your own home is the starting point for independent living. REACH is able to offer truly affordable housing through its partnerships with cities and counties in the Tri-Valley Region. Having stable monthly rent—sometimes as low as $350 per month—offers REACH residents the opportunity to have a safe, welcoming, inclusive environment in the communities they grew up in. Having a home that is well-maintained with dedicated staff to help gives adults with I/DD a stronger foundation for daily living, confidence, and life in our community.
Can businesses or other non-profit organizations partner with REACH?
Absolutely! Partnership opportunities with business and community collaboration partners are an important part of the REACH story. As REACH expands, its impact will grow throughout the Region. Businesses, foundations, non-profit organizations, and local groups all play a role in helping create and sustain opportunity for adults with I/DD to have a safe place that’s affordable that they can call home.
