The Pleasanton RADD (Recreational Activities for the Developmentally Disabled) basketball teams took home a pair of medals in the Special Olympics Northern California regional competition held in Pleasanton earlier this month.
The event featured more than 40 teams, each bracketed into divisions based on skill levels and playing a total of three games, according to RADD coach Kay King. The competition was hosted at Amador Valley High School and Harvest Park Middle School on March 4 and 5.
